AUCTION - 7/26/18 - 137+/- Acres of Waterfront Property on the Bay River

    JUL 26

    10:00AM

This auction is the "Foreclosure Sale" of 137.59+/- acres of waterfront property on the Bay River and Trent Creek in Pamlico County. The beautiful undeveloped property has over 1 1/2 miles of water frontage, paved road access, and is surrounded by over 500 acres of Weyerhaeuser owned timber lands. The property is located just 8 miles from Oriental, NC and only 25 miles from Historic Downtown New Bern, NC. The property, located around Fowler Point near Merritt, NC is just 8 miles of easily navigable waters from the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW).

The property consists of (7) contiguous parcels of land that are all being sold together in this sale as a single property. The property is located at the end of Weaver Camp Road paved and maintained approximately 1 1/2 miles northeast of the intersection of HWY 55 and Florence Road. The combination of parcels bring the property out to the main paved road. There is a well maintained gravel road all the way through the property and to each of the parcels.

In it's current condition, this property is a hunter's paradise and is ideal for a single large hunting preserve or several smaller hunting properties. The waterfront is a great combination of heavily wooded land and open marsh areas ideal for both game and waterfowl hunting. Add some blinds, stands, and maybe an impoundment and it is perfect. One of the parcels already has a dock and a large barn that has had utilities. This property is private and remote but not isolated with access to shopping, dining, and attractions in just minutes.

This ideal general location could also lead this property to beautiful residential development. The combination of parcels wrap almost entirely around Fowlers Point with huge amounts of frontage on the Bay River and on Trent Creek. Large amounts of waterfront and waterview homesites could easily be developed from this property. Owned property all the way out to the state road would allow for a private entrance (already partially constructed and paved).
