    This is a Bankruptcy auction of 162.49+/- acres of wooded land located off of Hwy 55 and Barwick Road between New Bern, NC & Kinston, NC. This large parcel of land is accessed by an approximately 1/2 mile long deeded easement from Hwy 55. The timber was harvested approximately (10) years ago and was replanted in plantation pines. A portion of the property has been used for swine facility lagoon pumping from a neighboring swine operation, but the property is not encumbered with any future pumping rights or obligations. There are (2) parcels of land that make up this tract and both parcels will be sold together as a single property and will not be divided.

    AUCTION - The auction was held live at 505 Barwick Rd., Dover, NC (a suitable auction location that is close to the property) on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 10:00am.

    *PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE WAS NO UPSET BID RAISE PERIOD FOR THIS AUCTION. THE HIGH BID AT THE CLOSE OF THE AUCTION WAS $150,000.00 AND THAT WAS THE FINAL BID.

    PROPERTY LOCATION - The property is located behind the swine and storage facility located at 505 Barwick Rd., but is accessed off of Hwy 55 via path. Please print a map from below before visiting. Signage will be posted at the auction location and additional signage will be placed directing buyers to the access road and property.

    TAXES - The property is being sold with taxes prorated as of day of closing, meaning the current year taxes will be split between the Buyer and the Seller based on the closing date; the Seller will pay all prior year’s taxes.
